So here we are Friday the 6th of March 2020. Yesterday from morning till afternoon Luke sat with shelter trying to find suitable accommodation for the night, after a long day and a promise of not being left to the streets the decision was that nothing could be found. Luke was left to go onto the streets which it was recorded last night at being 5 degrees Celsius at midnight on the BBC weather website.
This was not supposed to happen, he has been through so much this year without any support given & now even so furthermore the council have turned there back on him now not allowing him into the council due to this petition being started. At every turn he takes they come up with another excuse of why not to house him. They have been stating different things for the past 6 months & it's now a joke. This is a young man with severe mental health & no help what's it going to take for our country and system to help?
Even with 600 people behind us he still isn't getting the recognition that is deserved. This is just another example of neglecting our homeless and most vulnerable. Another reason why you the people can help make a stand. Luke has been accepted on to various news and TV stations and we will release further info depending on the outcomes of these.
