Dear whaleprotectors :)
this is the first reaction of the fishing-minister in Norway :
" We thank you for your interest in Norway, and Norwegian environmental issues. Your commitment to animal welfare is very impressive, and we want to emphasize that a comprehensive and sustainable use of marine resources of great importance to Norway.
Norway engages in only a very limited trapping of one type of whale, minke whale. Meanwhile, in Norway, strictly forbidden to capture around 75 other whale species. Minke whales do not belong to an endangered species, and is therefore not part of this ban. Scientific Committee of the International Whaling Commission has estimated that there are over 100,000 minke whales in Norwegian waters. The Norwegian whaling means that every year just to catch up to 885 minke whales, that only a very small proportion of the total population."
- Well, this means that he doesn`t think to stop whaling so far.
But i dont wanna stop trying to open mind them !!!
