Stop the spraying of RoundUp along Northumberland County's roadsides

Northumberland County recently posted a public notice indicating that RoundUp WeatherMAX liquid herbicide will be sprayed along County road guiderails and roadsides in Northumberland County, beginning May 27th, 2019 in order to control vegetation.
RoundUp is a known carcinogen, and has the potential to cause adverse effects to humans living and traveling in this region, the ground water, and the natural flora and fauna in the area including an already struggling bee population that the local farming community relies upon to pollinate crops.
We urge the Council of Northumberland County to find an alternative to polluting the natural environment with RoundUp as a means to control weeds. There are many other options available, including mowing, or using a natural herbicide such as common vinegar or salt brine.
