On the 30th of January 2015 at 22:00 a 16 year old boy on a scooter was hit by a car. We phoned the ambulance immediately and waited with him, making sure he was breathing. The ambulance took a ridiculous 40 minutes to reach us as it came from Belford and he passed away 5 minutes before it arrived. Had it arrived sooner then things may have been different. I am petitioning for Berwick to have its own ambulance so that delays like this are greatly reduced and to prevent any further deaths. Thank you, Chris
