Thanks to everyone who has signed this important petition so far. We are aiming to get our numbers higher before we submit our petition to the networks that make decisions about refurbishments of local stations. WE NEED TO BE MADE A PRIORITY STATION and we can help by being as active as possible. Levenshulme needs this! In 2010 a Freedom of Information Request was placed by a member of the general public who asked about Disabled Access Improvements. GMPTE said this "GMPTE does have a legal duty as a public sector organisation to ensure that work is undertaken to improve disabled peoples’ access to the rail network.Nevertheless GMPTE is working with Network Rail and Northern Rail to identify funding opportunities to improve access at Levenshulme station."
