Unfortunately, at last Tuesdays Council meeting the recommendation to repair the Hall was refused. The report tabled at the meeting recommended a repair to the existing Hall.It recognised that a new facility would be unlikely to be approved given flood zoning issues, lack of public transport and expense.

We now wait for another month while more information is gathered.

Of some consolation is the fact that the Mayor, Michael Regan would like to speak to members of our Scout Group next week.We hope to convince him of the importance of repairing the Hall and returning it to the Scouts and the community.
