When Governor DeSantis signed the law 2020 SB 140 legalizing the use of  all fireworks on designated dates, it took all power from local governments to place any restrictions and or ordinance changes. Wellington Florida filed an appeal to the legislature solely to protect their expensive polo horses. There was nothing in their submittal regarding the effects of people pets or the environment strictly their expensive their polo ponies. The appeal went to the state legislature for the 2021 session and was passed in their behalf. Please share this petition to request a local government to file an appeal on behalf of North Palm Beach to make its own decisions.
