Ban Smoking at the Norfolk County Fair

Every year thousands of adults and youth go to the Norfolk County Fair to enjoy the sights, entertainment, food, and of course the rides. Very young children enjoy the kiddie rides like the Merry Go Round, cars, motorcycles, and grow up to enjoy bumper cars, The Sizzler, Fireball, and more. All while experiencing exhibits that showcase the importance of farm life in Norfolk County. For many youth they grow up and continue the tradition by bringing their families to the fair every October.
One thing every child and adult should get out of the fair is enjoyment without having to breath in cigarette smoke. I'm asking the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show to ban smoking inside the fair, making designated smoking areas outside of the fair gates and in the parking lots only. Let people enjoy the smell of fair food that we've eagerly awaited all year long without choking back the overpowering smell of cigarettes. If parks in Norfolk are now smoke free to protect our youth, then shouldn't the fair be as well considering the sheer volume of youth that attend the fair?
As citizens who attend the fair we need to bando together to submit signatures to the fair committee to have our voices heard. Smoking is a choice, one that ourselves and our children didn't make and they shouldn't be forced to be exposed. NCF claims that smoking is prohibited in children's areas but it isn't enforced and needs to be completely smoke free because children are enjoying ALL aspects of the fair.
