You thought Colin Kaepernick's impact was over?

Think again.

The Wall Street Journal just reported that Nike pulled its upcoming Air Max 1 USA sneakers, which was to be released for the 4th of July holiday. The heel of the shoe was to include the "Betsy Ross flag", an original America flag created during the American revolution.

It's the flag that has 13 white stars in a circle.

According to the report, Kaepernick reached out to company officials saying that he and others felt the flag is an offensive symbol because of its connection to an era of slavery.

The shoes were already at retailers but were returned.
