DO NOT Watch The Super Bowl This Weekend
Jan 31, 2018 — Spread the word!
We started this petition 6 months ago because Colin Kaepernick, a man who sat -- then took a knee for people of color, was effectively banned by the NFL for his actions. We asked you to "stop watching/commenting/buying games" and let the ratings fall as a response.
Regardless of who takes credit, the facts are the facts: The 2017 NFL Season saw one of the lowest ratings in years, with a total drop of almost 10% in viewership. Per ESPN, a typical game was watched by 1.6 million FEWER people than last year. In comparison, NBA viewership rose 20% this season.
Many of you have commented how this is the 1st time in 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25...even 40 years that you haven't watched a single NFL game. With that in mind, let's cap it off by giving the NFL one of its lowest-rated Super Bowls in years. So as we said from the very beginning, do not watch the Super Bowl, and no social media comments before/during/after the game.
The only thing the NFL cares about is ratings. Let's not allow the NFL to forget what the wrong they have done this season by banning Colin Kaepernick.
Also, Kaep just completed a very successful #10for10 challenge to finish his $1,000,000 pledge, and many urban entertainers have joined him. Read more about it on kaepernick7.com
