It's true...but before we get to that, do you remember this quote? "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." That's the quote Colin Kaepernick last year said when asked why he sat from during the National Anthem. Its reaction (and the NFL Owners' blackball of him) is the reason why we are boycotting the NFL. NEVER FORGET THAT! Anyone can take credit for falling NFL ratings. Doesn't matter who it is. They can change the rules and "force" players to stand. It doesn't matter. All we know is that as long as Colin Kaepernick isn't signed, we will CONTINUE TO BOYCOTT and hurt the NFL Ratings, the thing owners/advertisers care about. It just seems like the "path" for Kaepernick eventually being signed requires America to literally look itself in the mirror, and some ugly skeletons are (and continue to) come out... ...which brings us to the Anthem itself.
