Many thanks to all of you noting their is in fact a noisy miner disaster.

The petition wording is an evolving process but never alters from the core of this petition.The new introduction to the petition follows>

"State Governments must act on this noisy miner bird disaster. They should firstly remove their protected species status. Then start an immediate selective culling of miners in south eastern and eastern Australia: trapping them then humanely killing them. Noisy miner numbers are out of control and increasing: drastically damaging the Australian biodiversity: devastating too many other Australian bird populations.

There is no time to waste - ACT TODAY.

Common Mynas (not noisy miners) are humanely culled in eastern Australian states including in ACT, Canberra, very successfully, so let's use this affordable model to start culling the destructive noisy miner..."

Yesterday, some big environmental groups took note of the petition and some retweeted it. I expect a jump in momentum soon. I could be wrong again but fingers crossed.
