Culling of any animal is distasteful.

Good morning,

Culling means reduction of a wild animal population by selective slaughter, like "kangaroo culling".

Culling anything automatically suggests shooting an animal. However, there may be other ways to reduce pests like excessive Noisy Miner birds, like trapping them or netting them on an industrial scale. The experts will know what to do with them after that.
