Gary Yourofsky is an American animal rights activist. As of January 1, 2015 Gary Yourofsky has given 2,660 lectures to more than 60,000 people at 186 schools in 30 states and several Israeli cities/schools, including the U. of Alabama, U. of Florida and Georgia Tech. His lecture has been translated into more than 30 languages for over 10 million YouTube hits. Because of him, millions of people across the world started practicing veganism. He spent 77 days in prison for saving the lives of fifteen hundred innocent minks in Canada.

    He dedicated his life to seed and raise the consciousness of non violence. His ideology is "All living organisms are equal". If one practice veganism means, he/she not only against the meat based diet in his/her plate,  he/she also against cruelty, slavery, racism, hunger, global warming, pollution, so on. Some advantages of veganism is listed as follow:

- Veganism helps to fight against animal cruelty

- Veganism helps to control climate change/ water pollution

- Veganism helps to prevent deforestation

- Sustainable way to feed the growing population and also help to fight against hunger [Veganism is already suggested by UN committee]

- cuts off the Nations health care budget by a significant value

- Helps to prevent the evolution of superbugs [as a result of unethical factory farming]

- Helps to prevent the outbreak of dangerous disease like swine flu [there is a recent outbreak of Swine Flu in India and still the government is struggling to control it. As per stats of 8 th March 2015, the number of death toll is 1289 and number of people affected by the disease are 24000].

- Promotes the human attitude to next level.i.e "One can only understand and experience the real feel of non violence when he is vegan".

- Helps to prevent animal species from going extinct because many species which are on the verge of extinction are being killed for their leather, tusk, etc. Moreover, veganism will help to maintain the ocean's ecosystem - many reports say that oceans may run out of fish by the end of this century because of over fishing.
