We are thrilled to share that Lokmat — one of Maharashtra’s most respected and widely read publications — has published an article supporting our campaign! This is a huge step forward in raising awareness about the deadly hazard of trees left standing in the middle of Nashik’s roads.
Even more encouraging, 11+ prominent organizations across Nashik have publicly aligned with our petition, including:
Indian Medical Association (IMA)
AIMA
NIMA
Bar Council of Nashik
Association of Schools
…and many more civic and professional bodies.
This growing citywide consensus sends a clear message — human lives must come first.
🚨 The Issue:
Over 50 Nashikites have already lost their lives by crashing into trees standing right in the middle of the roads. Thousands commute daily with this life-threatening risk. Some single trees have caused 4–5 deaths each! The average age of victims is just 35, meaning dozens of families have lost their breadwinners.
🌳 Our Stand:
We love Nashik’s greenery — but no tree should take a life.
This petition seeks a clear court directive to ensure lasting safety for all road users.
📢 Our Demands:
Immediate removal of trees standing in the middle of roads.
Time-bound and transparent action, with regular updates to citizens.
Replantation or transplantation of trees at safe locations as per norms.
Routine inspection and maintenance to prevent further tragedies.
No road-widening project should be considered complete until all such hazards are removed.
🙏 What You Can Do:
If you haven’t signed yet, now is the time.
➡️ Sign and share the petition today — let’s make Nashik’s roads safer for everyone!
Together, we can ensure that trees give life — not take it away.
