First of all thank you for signing and sharing the petition! Together we can make a difference. 

I have received a phone call from Mr. Jonathan Lea from Calgary Transit. He explained that he is part of the team in charge of reviewing the fee schedule and the budget for Calgary Transit. They do a review four times a year and adjust the fees accordingly. The next budget should be released in November. There is a good chance we could see something change then. 

However, this is not over yet. Calgary Airport Authority still has to agree to waive the fees for employees and so far they have ignored every e-mail I have been sending them. 

If you wish to go a step further, please contact Calgary city council, Calgary transit, and Calgary Airport Authority, and tell them that you want this unfair surcharge to be dropped. The more they hear about this the more likely it is that we will see a change in November.
