Further consultation next Wednesday

Greetings all,

Next Wednesday a community meeting intended to specifically address the proposal to allow a right turn from Ohauiti Rd onto Welcome Bay Rd, will be held at Palmers Garden Centre at 11am. This has been initiated by Cr Baker, as TCC had originally intended to only hold the two meetings at Waipuna Park, both of which were dominated by concerned Welcome Bay residents, and he wishes to provide a forum for Ohauiti & Hairini residents to express their views as well. Personally, I am on the fence about whether this idea will work, but will be attending in order to hear what others have to say about it.
The petition will be presented to TCC when elected members consider the amended “upgrades”, which will most likely be next month. I will provide the date in a further update, as soon as I have it. In the meantime, please continue to share the petition amongst your networks, as every signature still counts.

Kind regards,

Rob
