Strangely, Nancy Ross, District 2 council member,  stopped responding to us about this project.  When contacting the city manager (which you can do here- charrison@cathedralcity.gov ) we were told that she was directed by the city attorneys to NOT speak on this matter. 

I'm not sure about you, but we thought the city council members were elected to represent constituents on issues that come up in our City and in our district, like predatory corporations putting in toxic gas stations where they don't belong.  Cathedral City has enough gas stations.  Date Palm Drive has enough gas stations.

Incidentally, there is ANOTHER PROPOSED GAS STATION project on Date Palm and 111.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in California there is a movement trying to ban all new gas stations in the state. Gas-powered cars are on their way out, and in case you hadn't noticed, the world is on fire.

This project has been appealed and will be on the CIty Council's agenda in October. PLEASE stay engaged with this process, and let the City know we do not want this gas station 135 feet from our houses, and we do not need new gas stations on our street, or indeed, in our City or state.
