Stop the Hostility Toward Christian Symbols and Serbian Identity – We Demand Accountability from SVT, the Media, and Academia!

We, the undersigned, protest the way a fundamental Christian symbol – the three fingers of the Trinity – has been compared to Nazism by an SVT personality, and how Swedish media and academics have reinforced this interpretation.

This gesture has been used for centuries in religious contexts and symbolizes faith, baptism, blessing – and for many Serbs, a deep connection to history, struggle, and identity. It is not a symbol of hate – it is an expression of faith.

🔴 We demand:

1. That SVT immediately end all collaboration with Laura Ukaj following her comparison between the Trinity gesture and "Heil Hitler".
   That SVT make a public statement distancing itself from this belittling of a Christian symbol.
2. That Aftonbladet and Expressen issue public statements regarding their publications that laid the foundation for the smear campaign against Dragomir Mrsic.
3. That Lund University investigate Sanimir Resic, whose "expert opinions" legitimize the demonization of a religious sign.

The Swedish public sphere has a responsibility to protect minorities' freedom of expression, freedom of religion, and right to identity – not to fuel moral panic and prejudice.
