The state of Alaska currently does not have an income tax, but are proposing to implement one. This is a petition against income tax. If an alternative MUST be put forth, we would prefer a state SALES tax.  

Many Alaskans deal with high cost of living within the state of Alaska. The last thing we need as a state is to tax those who already have many financial burdens. A state sales tax would spread the burden among many whom do not live here thus lessening the cost to those who may not be able to withstand an income tax. 

Lastly, Alaska doesn't tax vehicles coming in from out of state purchases and this would stop that or atleast tax those large purchases and get those vehicles registered.
