Congratulations! You did it. Just moments ago, I received the following e-mail from Novanet Communications Limited: "Thank you for participating in the public information session held on January 16, 2020 regarding the proposed communication tower at the Alectra owned Municipal Substation located at 0 Forrest Fire Lane. Alectra Utilities was committed to seeking input and listening to the concerns of the community. Your feedback was valuable in guiding the decision-making process – and the proposed communication tower will not be constructed at this location. As such, Alectra Utilities will be withdrawing the application with the City of Mississauga for the proposed tower and will continue seeking alternative locations (possibly in industrial/commercial areas) that will meet their overall Mississauga coverage requirements. We thank you again for your feedback, messages and attention as Alectra works toward improving services to homes and businesses in Mississauga." On behalf of our entire community, we would like to offer a sincere thank you to all of our supporters, especially our Member of Parliament, Mr. Peter Fonseca, and our City Councillor, Ms. Chris Fonseca. We would not have succeeded without you. We would also like to thank Alectra Utilities for listening to our concerns during the public consultation period and taking our feedback into consideration when making their decision.
