To everyone who signed, shared and pushed this petition into the spotlight, thank you. This did not go unnoticed.

Let’s be clear. Without this petition and the global attention, it generated, this visit had every potential to escalate into a full scale quasi royal tour, with far greater taxpayer funded resources behind it.

That did not happen.

Because of the pressure, scrutiny and public awareness created here, limits were drawn.

• Australians sent a clear message
• No taxpayer funded support
• No special treatment
• No blurred lines between private visits and publicly funded operations

This petition forced accountability where there may have otherwise been none.

It proved that when enough people speak up, decisions change.

This is people power in action. Not theory, reality.
