On July 1st, menstruation products such as pads, tampons, menstrual cups, and sanitary belts (?!) will be GST free. Canadian Menstruators demanded this discriminatory tax be removed and the Canadian government listened. In honour of this win for people with their periods we are throwing a donation drive and party extravaganza. In Canada, many menstruators struggle to access affordable menstruation products. It was reported that at one food bank in Winnipeg received 6,909 requests for menstrual products and could only fill 125. We encourage you, where ever you are in Canada to please donate menstruation products to a collecting charity. If you are in Toronto bring your donations and dancing shoes to our #NoTaxOnTampons celebration.
