Hello West Mesa supporters- 135 have signed the petition as of Sunday at 1:50pm.
I walked my street and spoke to the 4 longtime over 30 year residents here. They are very concerned as to the issues this will bring. At the bottom of my update is the link to the Safe Space Rules and application.
Please read it because lots of requirements, which in were not mentioned in the Albuquerque Journal Article are in it, such as:
SOS areas are supposed to be 300 feet away from R-1 and R-2 (single family, and duplex) zoned properties,
-they will allow drug use inside the vehicles/tents yet there is zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol use on the property. Lots of contradiction in the rules.
-It also says: up to 50 vehicles/tents/RV's to be allowed and 1 portable toilet per 8 vehicles can be on the property for up to 2 years until permanent bathroom structures are built.
