                  Namaste.. 

Sub : Requisition  for providing an option that is “ No Religion No Caste”  to the needy .. reg., 

Ref : Telangana Socio, Economic  Census-2024 (Caste Census)

                      We  D V Ramakrishna Rao and S Clarance Krupalini  wants to bring these few lines to your kind notice. We both are Agricultural graduates and living in Hyderabad. We both work in Department of Agriculture, Telangana.

                   We have two daughters namely Spandana and Sahaja. We  have decided not to impart any Caste and Creed to our children. We are asking for one more column  to recognise i.e., No Religion No Caste identity also. We are fighting for last 15 years at  School and college applications level, Where as Mr.David and Ms.Rupa fighting for birth certificate.  We filed a writ petition in the high court in the  year 2010, then a Public Interest Litigation in 2017 in this matter. Where as Rupa and David filed petition in 2019. In 2010 in response to our writ petition High court justice opined “ Right to Religion means right not to have any religion too” and supported this democratic identity. 

                        We are happy that with the recent High Court Single Judge Bench orders in response to the Kula Nirmulana Sangham’s writ petition Government has  considered to enumerate  people with “  No social class - No Religion – No Caste  “ identity. It is a historical decision taken by your government. Telangana is the first state in doing so in our country. We heartily congratulate your dynamic and scientific approach in addressing this long pending democratic aspiration. We believe It is high time for Our society to progress beyond Caste and Religion. 

                         We believe  It is also one of such steps to encourage for the betterment and progress of our society. Our first Prime Minister Shri JawaharLal Nehru was agnostic and believed that religion had no place in politics. He believed in the separation of religion and state affairs. Architect of our constitution Dr.B.R.Ambedkar dreamt for annihilation of caste. It is the dream of many more social reformers .  

                                   With the spirit of Socio, economic Census of the government , Hope it will reflect in providing a separate column that is  “ No Religion No Caste”   to the needy in  recording  their  identity. We request the government to take steps in implementing  to provide the column both off line and Online. Register the people with No Religion No Caste Identity in all walks of life right birth to death as a regular process.
