Hyderabad,
25.10.2024
To
Shri Anumala Revanth Reddy
Chief Minister of Telangana
Government Of Telangana,
Hyderabad
Dear Sir,
Namaste..
Sub : Requisition for recording People with “ No Religion No Caste” Identity
in the ongoing Caste Census
I want to bring these few lines to your kind notice. My name is D.V.Ramakrishna Rao an Agricultural graduate, Working in Telangana State Agriculture Deparment on hired basis looking after Vyavasaya Padipantalu monthly Magazine as an Editorial Board Member. Living in Hyderabad from 1990 onwards. Ours is a Inter Caste, Inter religious marriage. My Wife S.Clarance Krupalini is an Agricultural Officer working at O/o DAO, Vikarabad On Post to Post Inter State Mutual Deputation basis.
We have two daughters namely Spandana and Sahaja. We have decided not to impart any Caste and Creed to our children. But in all walks of life Right from Birth certificate , School, college and employment in all application forms we don’t have an option for No Religion, No Caste Identity. We are aware that it is needed for socially oppressed people to claim reservations. We are asking for one more column to recognise i.e., No Religion No Caste also. We are fighting for last 15 years in School and college applications level, Where as my friends Mr.David and Ms.Rupa fighting for birth certificate. Please provide an option for the needy both off Line and Online.
We humbly request you to go through our “ No Religion No Caste change dot org Online Petition” . Many are expressing the need of this Identity . It is like NOTA option provided in our election system. We humbly request you to take a decision to record the people with “No Religion No Caste” Identity. Provide a column in the ongoing caste census to enumerate the data of such people. Telangana will be the first state if we encourage such Identity. It is high time for Our society to progress beyond Caste and Religion. We believe It is also one of such steps to encourage for the betterment and progress of our society. Our first Prime Minister Shri JawaharLal Nehru was agnostic and believed that religion had no place in politics. He believed in the separation of religion and state affairs. Architect of our constitution Dr.B.R.Ambedkar dreamt for annihilation of caste. Let us pave a way by recognising one more identity that is “ No Religion No Caste”.
Thanking You Sir..
With Regards,
Your’s Sincerely,
D.V.Ramakrishna Rao
