Big news.

This week, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Board of Education voted UNANIMOUSLY to ban all new synthetic turf installations in elementary and middle schools. (Read Press Release)

They cited the exact same risks we have raised: extreme heat, microplastic pollution, and student safety.

This is a game-changer. If the second-largest school district in the nation has determined that plastic grass is unsafe for children, SMMUSD has no excuse to continue installing it in our schools.
