By Popular Demand - Reopened No Pier & No $25 Million Corporate Welfare Tax $$$ to Developers

By Popular Demand this petition has been reopened. The MAJORITY of Taxpayers do not want tax dollars given for a Ferris Wheel Pier when there are so many other NEEDS. The City of Virginia Beach was slapped with a $140 Million LAWSUIT by Developers of the Arena January 16, 2018. The City admitted at Council 1-16-2018 they have no idea what the cost is to OPERATE a Pier? They also appeared IGNORANT on 4 Federal Lawsuits ongoing regarding Ferris Wheels in Port Townsend WA and Nashville TN. Virginia Beach "self insures" so any LAWSUITS settlements are paid by TAXPAYERS. Thank you for signing and sharing this Petition.
