I write to you now as I believe that the building of the Roe 8 Fremantle Expressway will benefit your cause and indeed all men, women and children of Western Australia. You may not be aware that in the recently announced federal budget, there is an amount of $1.2b that has been specifically and purposely dedicated to any West Australian government that will commit to completing the already approved ‘Roe 8 and 9 Fremantle Expressway’. Instead, due to political promises for Green preference votes, Mark McGowan and WA Labor tore up the signed contracts for work that had already begun on the Roe 8 project, at a cost of $142m to all WA tax payers. Additionally, Mark McGowan is spending $500m of WA tax payers money to fund alternative patch up intersection road projects that will not improve safety, cause more congestion and increase carbon emissions. WA Labor can still take the $1.2b of federal money being offered to build Roe 8 and 9 and the project could re-start immediately. This would mean that WA Labour could re-direct the $500m being wasted on useless alternative patch up projects, to your cause and many others in WA, including the promised and deserved pay rises to our police men and women (another broken promise by Mark McGowan’s WA Labor).
