Wow, 5,000 signatures and counting! Thank you so much for signing and sharing this petition rejecting Stuart Nash's Freedom Camping Proposals and calling for a focus on infrastructure and facilities instead.

Here's a brief update on progress:

• Submissions to the MBIE are now closed - they have stated they will now collate feedback and assess the survey responses. I imagine there will be an announcement of sorts in the coming weeks.
• The MBIE are very aware of this petition. This petition will continue to run and will only be 'closed' if the Proposals are scrapped or a more agreeable outcome is given.
• There are a number of protests to the Proposals taking place across the country thanks to organisation Conscious Campers Aotearoa - check out their page to see upcoming protests in your area. The final protest will be held on June 22nd in Wellington on the Parliament Grounds.
• Please continue to share this petition using this link: https://www.change.org/NoFreedomCampingPolicyChanges and if you have not done so yet, you can still send an email to Stuart Nash at s.nash@ministers.govt.nz explaining that you reject his Proposals.
