If you live in Los Angeles or Ventura County, please take 1 minute to sign our preformatted letter that will auto-send to your County Supervisor.
Last year the Ventura County Board of Supervisors and the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors passed resolutions to sue if the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) weakened the cleanup of one of California’s most toxic sites, the Santa Susana Field Lab.
The DTSC did exactly what we feared, they signed new cleanup agreements with the Boeing Company, who owns most of the site, to allow Boeing to save millions of dollars by chopping the cleanup down to nearly nothing. They also left loopholes so that NASA and the Department of Energy could leave most of their land at the Santa Susana Field Lab contaminated as well.
The problem is that the Board of Supervisors haven’t started the promised lawsuit and the statute of limitations runs out on January 15, 2024.
We need everyone living in Los Angeles and Ventura County to send an email to their Supervisors, asking for the lawsuit to save the cleanup. You can use our quick and easy preformatted email and it’ll auto-send to the right person. It’ll only take a minute but it could save the cleanup.
