RTI Exposes Railway’s Lies on Dankuni Gate 8! Demand Action from CM Suvendu Adhikari!

Dear Supporters,
                                         On the night of August 12, 2026, the Eastern Railway authorities arbitrarily sealed the pedestrian pathway at Dankuni LC Gate No. 8 with heavy iron barricades, completely cutting off our access to the traditional market and essential services.

                                   We are fighting back, and our legal and moral position has just been massively strengthened by official RTI responses directly from the Howrah Division:-

1. Lies Exposed on Technical Infeasibility:- The Railway claimed an underpass was "impossible due to a high water table". But their official RTI reply dated 26.02.2026 admits: "No such Soil Test Report or Geotechnical Investigation Report is available at this office"! They rejected our safety without ever conducting a single scientific soil test!
2. The Falsified Closure Date:- They repeatedly claimed the gate was closed in 2011. However, the official inauguration plaque of the ROB clearly displays the date as 21Th February 2013. Confronted with the evidence, they were forced to admit in writing on 4Th February 2026, that their previous claim was a "typographical mistake".
3. Sanctioned Lifts Blocked:- The Howrah Division admitted that heavy-duty lifts at the station FOB have already been officially sanctioned. Yet, they sealed our path before installing this vital, sanctioned infrastructure!

                                              With 12 recorded run-over deaths and 2 severe injuries at this location between 2016 and 2023, forcing citizens onto unsafe, steep stairs without alternative arrangements is a direct violation of our Constitutional Right to Life Article 21.
