Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a heartfelt thank you for supporting the petition to end the sale of Betta fish in cups across Alberta. Your signatures, shares, and encouragement have made a real difference.

While I haven’t been posting as often on social media, a lot of meaningful work has been happening behind the scenes. Looking back over the year, I’m proud of what we have accomplished together:

• 🐟 10 Betta fish rescued

• ✍️ 1,000 petition signatures reached

• 📘 A FREE Betta care eBook created (available through the link in our Instagram bio) FREE EBOOK

• 🌎 A collaboration with Betta World for Bettas (USA) to begin expanding this work into a broader North American initiative

• 📰 A magazine interview discussing ethical Betta care and why Bettas are often misunderstood as “easy” or child-friendly pets

This year, Betta4Betta was able to help:

Elektra, Copper, Binoo, Almass, Slayte, Strawberry, Bahr, Fadot, Zahra, and Burkān - all no longer living in cups, thanks to education, advocacy, and support from people like you.

Every signature helps shift the conversation. Every share helps change a mind. And every small action brings us closer to a future where Betta fish are treated with the care and respect they deserve.
