El pasado 5 de diciembre, el proyecto de #LeySintientes fue introducido por la diputada del PRO María Sotolano, y cuenta con la firma y apoyo transversal de diputados de casi todos los bloques:
Gabriela Estévez (Unión por la Patria), Margarita Stolbizer (Encuentro Federal), Yamila Ruíz y Alberto Arrúa (Innovación Federal), María de los Ángeles Moreno y Nancy Picón Martínez (Producción y Trabajo).
Este gran momento se consolidó con las brillantes exposiciones del Ex Ministro de Educación y Ex Senador Esteban Bullrich, los coautores de la Ley Sintientes, Liz Solari y Leonardo Barnabá, la abogada Graciela Fayt, los jueces Dr. Rolero Santurián y la jueza Rocío López Di Muro, y el ambientalista Máximo Mazzocco, quienes argumentaron por qué es urgente y necesario aprobar Ley Sintientes cuanto antes.
Además, contamos con la presencia de decenas de ONG y voluntarios animalistas y ambientalistas de todo el país.
Más de 90 organizaciones nacionales e internacionales nos apoyan, más de 40 celebridades de todo el país alzan su voz por este proyecto, y más de 240.000 ciudadanos argentinos piden por la aprobación de la ley.
Los legisladores ahora tienen en sus manos el poder y la decisión de tratar, votar y aprobar la ley para reconocer a los animales como "animal no humano sujeto de derecho" y sacarlos definitivamente de la categoría de COSAS en nuestro Código Civil y Comercial.

THE SENTIENT LAW MOVES FORWARD IN THE ARGENTINE CONGRESS!

Last 5th of December, the Sentient Bill introduced by PRO representative María Sotolano and backed by lawmakers from nearly every political bloc, continues gaining momentum:
Gabriela Estévez (UP), Margarita Stolbizer (Encuentro Federal), Yamila Ruíz and Alberto Arrúa (Innovación Federal), María de los Ángeles Moreno, and Nancy Picón Martínez (Producción y Trabajo).
This significant milestone was crowned with brilliant talks by Former National Educational Minister and Senator Esteban Bullrich, Sentient Law Co-Authors Liz Solari and Leonardo Barnabá, Lawyer Graciela Fayt, Judges Rolero Santurián and Rocío López Di Muro, and environmentalist Máximo Mazzocco, who highlighted why it is urgent and necessary to pass the Sentient Law as soon as possible.
We were also joined by NGOs, animal and environmental activists, and our volunteers from across the country.
More than 90 national and international organizations support this project, over 40 public figures from across the country are raising their voices in support of this bill, and more than 240,000 Argentine citizens are calling for its approval.
The power and responsibility to debate, vote on, and pass the law to recognize animals as “non-human animals subject to law” and remove them for good from the category of OBJECTS in the Argentine Civil and Commercial Code is now in the hands of our lawmakers.
The Sentient Law keeps moving forward and will not stop until all animals are officially declared SENTIENT BEINGS AND SUBJECTS TO LAW in Argentina.
