ARGENTINA: POLÉMICA POR LA HABILITACIÓN DE LA CAZA DE AVES AUTÓCTONAS EN LA PROVINCIA DE ENTRE RÍOS.
Pese a las resoluciones que autorizan la caza de aves autóctonas fueron declaradas inconstitucionales en todo el territorio de Entre Ríos en 2022 y 2023, el director de Recursos Naturales y Fiscalización, Antonio Sapetti, con autorización del gobernador Rogelio Frigerio, habilitó la caza deportiva de liebres y aves autóctonas del 10 de mayo al 23 de agosto.
ARGENTINA: EN LA PROVINCIA DE TUCUMÁN SE POSTERGA LA PROMULGACIÓN DE UNA LEY QUE PROHÍBE LA TRACCIÓN A SANGRE.
El Ministro de Desarrollo Social, Federico Masso, ha señalado que la ley aún está en proceso de estudio y debate, y que próximamente se reunirá con el Gobernador Osvaldo Jaldo para discutirla.
Activistas y organizaciones defensoras de los derechos de los animales alzan la voz en oposición a que la ley sea modificada para regular la tracción a sangre en lugar de prohibirla.
MÉXICO: UNA OLA DE CALOR AFECTA A CIENTOS DE ANIMALES.
Las altas temperaturas no solo afectan a la población mexicana, sino también a cientos de animales como aves y peces.
Más de 80 monos aulladores, especie en peligro de extinción, han sido encontrados muertos en los estados de Tabasco y Chiapas.
Las muertes de los monos se atribuyen a las altas temperaturas, aunque las autoridades investigan otras posibles causas.

ARGENTINA: CONTROVERSY OVER THE AUTHORIZATION OF HUNTING NATIVE BIRDS IN ENTRE RÍOS PROVINCE.
Despite rulings declaring the hunting of native birds unconstitutional throughout Entre Ríos province in 2022 and 2023, the Director of Natural Resources and Enforcement, Antonio Sapetti, with authorization from Governor Rogelio Frigerio, has allowed the sport hunting of hares and native birds from May 10 to August 23.
ARGENTINA: DELAYS IN ENACTING A LAW BANNING ANIMAL-DRAWN VEHICLES IN TUCUMÁN PROVINCE.
The Minister of Social Development, Federico Masso, has indicated that the law is still under review and debate and that he will soon meet with Governor Osvaldo Jaldo to discuss it.
Activists and animal rights NGOs are voicing their opposition to modifying the law to regulate rather than prohibit animal-drawn vehicles.
MEXICO: HEATWAVE AFFECTS HUNDREDS OF ANIMALS.
High temperatures are affecting not only the Mexican population but also hundreds of animals like birds and fish.
More than 80 howler monkeys, an endangered species, have been found dead in the states of Tabasco and Chiapas. These deaths are attributed to the high temperatures, though authorities are investigating other possible causes.
