Greetings to all Braddock Park lovers – hope you and your family are coping well in these crazy times.

Sad to say that Braddock Park is once again in jeopardy and here's hoping you have a minute to email all the following officials by April 15, 2020: buildingsandgrounds@northbergen.org, Martha.Sapp@dep.nj.gov,Catherine.McCabe@dep.nj.gov, Debbie.Mans@dep.nj.gov, jack_howard@nps.gov joel_lynch@nps.gov

To say something like this: "I do not support The National Park Services LWCF plans to no longer protect Braddock Park land from being used for non-recreational purposes and instead shift protection to mostly unusable land on River Road and Paterson Plank Road".

See linked article and the following for more information: Braddock Park was protected from non-recreational use by both National Park Service LWCF and NJDEP GREEN Acres regulations (encumbrances.)
LWCF calls the preschool in the park a conversion, Green Acres calls it a diversion, from recreational use.
LWCF is now saying they want to settle the illegal conversion in the park, and they are settling it by shifting the encumbrance from Braddock Park to the 2 replacement lands (on River Rd. and on Paterson Plank Rd.)
This means that the 1.25 acres of land they say was converted in Braddock Park will no longer be protected from non-recreational use, meaning it's ok in theory now to have the preschool (or something else) in Braddock Park. The 2 replacement lands will instead be protected from non-recreational use. We should let North Bergen, NPS LWCF and NJDEP Green Acres know that it's not okay.

If you can roundup others to write an email, that would be fantastic.

Best wishes to you and thanks!
