My apologies for the delay, I have been caring for a terminally ill loved one out of state and that has taken and significant amount of time and energy.

We have continued to fight the "AIrport Overlay Protection Zone" (AOPZ) only to be mocked, interrupted, lied to, and flat out ignored.  I have submitted the demands of this petition many times to the FCBOCC and NO RESPONSE!  The AOPZ is a VIOLATION of the TAKINGS CLAUSE of the FIFTH AMMENDMENT of the United States Constitution, 'nor shall private property taken for public use, without just compensation".

I believe. procedurally, they had to introduce the AOPZ, have public meetings (which we attended and opposed), and then they wait 180 days...which is up on October 22nd.  Not only have we continued to oppose them, we have been reaching out to state and federal officials seeking guidance and objections.  FAA and DOT have been funding the runways and now the TAJ MAHAL style Terminal, have told us the COUNTY and AIRPORT MANAGER is RESPONSIBLE for enforcing rules and regulations, yet the COUNTY says FAA and/or DOT.  They just volley it back and forth with NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

SAFETY.  Although the activity has been somewhat quiet during this time (by design, of course), I have documented SIX NEAR MISSES this year!  All have involved Embry-Riddle, but each one does not appear to be serious enough to get a response from airport manager, Roy Sieger, nor anyone from Palm Coast or Flagler County.

LEAD TEST.  They did a LEAD TEST, the most basic test you can do ON A WINDY DAY!  The test they did was an 8 hour 'grab' sample on a windy day and for LONG TERM LEAD EXPOSURE, you need a 3 MONTH SAMPLE! Andy Dance claimed the results are "MINUSCULE".  We all know LEAD is BAD and the only acceptable result is ZERO.  All four corners of the airport tested POSITIVE, the highest being at the northwest corner at Belle Terre and 100.  Mr. Dance then claimed "most of it is coming from near the 100", insinuatiing it's coming from cars.  As well as County Administrator, Heidi Petito, once claimed "it could be coming from the 95 or the pipes in the water".  These remarks are from OUR COUNTY OFFICIALS, Folks!  Cars have not used leaded fuel since the enactment of the Clean Air Act in 1995, but these small planes are exempt.  We did our own "basic" test and all four corners positive, with highest being the northeast corner.  In conclusion, there is LEAD from these planes and it's highest being between Tractor Supply and RaceTrak.  And on windy days, it floats over to schools, homes, shopping and our communty.  Yet, they ignore us.  Their little LEAD TEST is just another box to check off for more grant money at our expense.

JOBS! JOBS! JOBS!  This is another big LIE!  What jobs?  So many flight instructors at Phoenix East and Embry-Riddle are from other countries and the lax visa process has proved fraud and abuse.  Same as the new DATA CENTER they keep touting.  Water and electric wasting META and GOOGLE hire primarily from India.  What JOBS?
