IUSD proposed "Let Them Breathe" resolution to remove mask mandate for 9/14 meeting

Irvine Unified School District has a proposed resolution on their agenda for next meeting (Sept 14th) that is titled, “Let Them Breathe.”In the resolution it calls on IUSD to remove mask mandates, quarantines, and asymptomatic testing.

Same situation at the Huntington Beach City School District meeting, in the notes it states that this is a community request. Appears to be an organized effort by the astroturf Let Them Breathe organization.

On the Let Them Breathe website, they encourage followers to request their prewritten resolution (free to download) be added to their district’s agenda which would allow it’s own time for comments (specific to covid mandates) and would open up board member discussion.

Irvine Unified Parents: If you’re upset over the Let Them Breathe agenda item that was added to your board meeting and want to know who requested it, you can request that information using the CA Public Records Act to get copies of all emails regarding the agenda item.
