At its Tuesday, December 12 meeting, the council will discuss a proposal by Mayor Mark Arapostathis and Councilwoman Laura Lothian to  "terminate" its recent decision to seek "Requests for Proposals" from the billboard industry to construct and operate digital billboards in La Mesa.

Keep La Mesa Beautiful thanks the thousands of residents who signed petitions demanding an immediate stop to efforts to install large, flashing billboards along that heavily traveled section of the I-8.

Our press conference this morning was well attended and we hope to keep the pressure on the City Council for as long as it takes to forever ban digital bill boards in La Mesa.
