The University (in a lot of words) have said that they will not implement a no detriment or safety net policy for the 'integrity' of their degrees... laughable. The response acknowledges the stress that staff are facing with emails but surely that should highlight the lack of communication that the university itself is providing? We would not have to ask for more information if it was provided, such as the 5 day grace period for assessments! Poorly communicated and opposing messages from different people.
The writers of the open letter are still asking for signatures!! It is important to sign it if you have not already as this shows the demand from students. Open Letter Here!
In the meantime all we can do is share and sign, good luck to those completing assessments in these circumstances.
