Mientras miles de jugadores mostramos nuestro rechazo al posible fin del formato físico, Sony ha comenzado a ofrecer descuentos del 50 % en PlayStation Plus a muchos usuarios que intentan cancelar su suscripción.

Es difícil no ver la ironía.

En lugar de escuchar las preocupaciones de quienes quieren seguir teniendo la libertad de comprar sus juegos en formato físico, prestarlos, coleccionarlos o conservarlos, la respuesta parece ser incentivar aún más la permanencia en un modelo basado en suscripciones y licencias digitales.

No estamos pidiendo el fin del formato digital.

Solo pedimos que el formato físico siga siendo una opción.

Por eso esta petición sigue siendo necesaria. Cada firma demuestra que los jugadores queremos decidir cómo disfrutar de nuestros videojuegos, sin que una opción sustituya por completo a la otra.

Sigamos compartiendo este mensaje. La voz de los jugadores merece ser escuchada.

While thousands of players continue to speak out against the possible end of physical games, Sony has started offering 50% discounts on PlayStation Plus to many users who try to cancel their subscriptions.

It's hard to ignore the irony.

Instead of addressing the concerns of players who simply want the freedom to buy physical games, collect them, lend them to friends, preserve them, and truly own them, the response seems to be encouraging even greater reliance on subscriptions and digital licenses.

We are not asking for the end of digital gaming.

We are simply asking for physical games to remain an option.

That is why this petition is still so important. Every signature shows that players want the freedom to choose how they enjoy their games, without one format completely replacing the other.
