CALL TO ACTION!! CALL, EMAIL THE BELOW!

Meet Jill and June, they are residents of the proposed data center. Jill has been living there for 12 years and says "this is my home, where I've raised my kids and built a life. If an AI center is built into of my home, me and my kids will die. We live at tree 3001"
We need a call to action today. Do it on your next lunch break or when you're home and leave a voice mail.
Ipswich is being targeted because they THINK Ipswichians are weak.

Subject: URGENT OBJECTION — Swanbank Data Centre 12285/2026/MCU
Dear Mayor, Ministers and Representatives,
I strongly oppose the proposed Swanbank data centre (12285/2026/MCU).
This enormous development affects mapped core koala habitat and raises serious concerns about native vegetation clearing, drinking water, electricity demand, industrial noise and cumulative environmental harm.
It is unacceptable that a development of this magnitude is being assessed without mandatory public notification or formal community submission rights.
Ipswich has already carried Queensland's industrial and waste burden for decades. In 2022, community opposition and planning protections helped stop a proposed $400 million Swanbank waste incinerator.
WE DEMAND:
1. STOP the Swanbank data centre using all available lawful powers.
2. REQUIRE genuine public consultation and a public hearing.
3. ESTABLISH an independent public inquiry into cumulative industrial, environmental and health impacts across Swanbank.
4. PROTECT koala habitat, drinking water, electricity infrastructure and surrounding communities through independent assessments and enforceable safeguards.
There is nothing intelligent about destroying irreplaceable habitat to expand artificial intelligence.
IPSWICH IS OUR HOME, NOT BIG TECH'S RESOURCE COLONY.
Please provide a written response outlining what action you will take.
Regards,
