Hi everyone! Kim Donnelly at Fox 5 News will be doing a story tomorrow April 1 (no foolin’ 😜) on data centers in Boulder City—or the hopeful lack thereof, that is. Let’s show them just how many of us oppose this. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and protest signs! 🪧 They’ll be filming in the Eldorado Valley at 3:30pm so arrive a bit early… aim for 3pm as there is not much in the ways of parking out there. Location is the actual proposed spot of the Townsite Solar 2 data center off of Old Hwy 95. After you pass the first solar farm there is a small exit ramp and a sign that says “Impact Sand.” Make a right here. The road turns into gravel and shortly thereafter take the first right turn onto another gravel road (that is Old Hwy 95). The pavement picks up in a short while although it has plenty of potholes so drive with caution! You’ll pass by the solar farm again, and about 200 yards after it ends look for the Nevada State Flower aka an orange traffic cone on the left side of the road… park anywhere by here and we will film somewhere just ahead.
