No consequences at the Brownlow!

The five Sydney Swans players connected to the sexual assault of a woman at the Pullman Hotel in Melbourne during August are expected to be re-embraced by their club and the AFL soon.
It appears their behaviour had no impact on the Brownlow Medal voting with Isaac Heeney and Chad Warner both collecting points for the awards which were handed out this week.
It is deeply disturbing as we head towards the AFL grand final on Friday to know Heeney, Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon and Riley Bice are being feted given rates of violence and harassment sky-rocket every time a major sporting event occurs in Australia.
Afl.com.au reports the five players are expected to return to the club this week. They are also (possibly) going to speak to their team mates. 
There is also the possibility of the players addressing the wider playing group before they go on their breaks.
The least the AFL and the Swans could do is hold off on bringing them back into the fold until after the season ends.
This would at least show both organisations have some regard for how male violence increases and send a message that any form of disrespect towards women will not be tolerated. 
Victoria Police are still investigating the assaults and no one has been charged.
