The district and region tournaments are the first two components of the individual state tournament for wrestling in NJ.  In recent years, these tournaments have been realigned to balance the powers and number of competitors.  However, this realignment has created issues for many teams across the state.  These issues include increased costs for school districts, long travel times, lack of exposure for fan bases, and tournaments where the powers are clearly not balanced.  This petition seeks signatures from those who wish to have the NJSIAA and its wrestling executive committee re-evalauate the current realignment.
