NJ Transit closed the Atlantic City rail line in September 2018. Commuters were promised that the closure was essential and that the rail line would reopen in early January once the necessary track upgrades were made. The upgrades have been completed but NJ Transit has still not provided an opening date for the line. It is unacceptable that Atlantic City continues to be without this vital public transport link.
