Okay, so in preparation for sending the actual petition along with signatures to Nintendo I needed to create a back door, with the help of David, to the consumer services. I did so by writing the following email "There's a few things I'd like to bring to Nintendo 's attention in regard Miiverse. Firstly, it's crazy that it's being shut down. Miiverse is without doubt Nintendo 's greatest achievement, with it you've achieved close to social media perfection. I've been hosting an art event on there for over 3 years now (see nnid JukeboxDraw) and it's likely to die without Miiverse. There's also the game integration. Look at the response my post has received https://miiverse.nintendo.net/replies/AYMHAAADAAADV44YtDFkew I'd also like to draw your attention to the online petition at www.change.org/p/Nintendo-save-Miiverse Look especially at the comments, Miiverse means so much to so many and so many feel The Switch is a lesser console, a less attractive console without Miiverse. I'd like to send you this petition and would appreciate an email address where it will get a response too. I'm such a huge Nintendo fan and have been for years" I was limited to a character number so had to leave it at that. I've just received a response which says - "Thanks for contacting us regarding the discontinuation of Miiverse. I want you to know how much we appreciate it. I also want to assure you that your comments will be added to the record of feedback for Miiverse and made available for other departments at the company to use as they see fit. We understand that our fans are passionate about the various features available on our consoles they enjoy such as Miiverse and may be disappointed that it will no longer be available. With that in mind, I need to let you know that Nintendo typically does not respond to or take into consideration game petitions or write-in campaigns. While you may not know this, there are a variety of reasons that influence what games and products may become available or be discontinued in the future. Regarding your request to be contacted if a change is made, I need to explain that this isn’t a service we are able to provide. Rest assured, however, that your feedback will be taken into consideration and reviewed. Sincerely, Nintendo of America Inc." I'm away this weekend but I will be sending the petition regardless, both here and to as many other Nintendo offices worldwide as possible. Just wanted to keep you all updated and for you to see how Nintendo have responded
