Wii U sales aren't getting any better, and it's not the developers' fault. It's your fault Nintendo, completely yours. You could've done much better with the Wii U, but you chose not to. My english is not perfect, as it is not my native language, and this impedes me to elavorate a justifiable reason as to why you're slowly killing your own industry. But fear not, as I have a list of things you can do in order to improve the Wii U, both in sales and user experience, and I think it's safe to say that everyone agrees with me.

What the Wii U DESPERATELY needs:

1) Improved loading times.

2) Universal voice-chatting.

3) Better multitasking.

4) Voice/Text messaging outside of Miiverse.

5) Join session in progress via Friends List.

6) Onscreen notificacions.

7) Full controller support (Why can't I play NSMBU with a Pro Controller?).

8) Make 'Wii U Chat' integrated into the system for seamless videochatting and quicker call pick-up (Look at #6 again).

9) Ability to open the 'Home' menu at any time, inside any app or game.

10) Being able to open the 'Home' menu without interrupting your game and/or internet connection (One example: Black Ops II).

11) Removal of the need to use the original Wii's user interface to play Wii games. In other words, better Wii integration.

12) Ability to use built-in mic for voice chat.

What the Wii U doesn't really need, but could improve the user experience:

1) Ability to chose which communities are shown on the WaraWara Plaza.

2) Bigger drawing area with color picker on Miiverse.

3) Ability to play music stored on a USB Drive.

4) Ability to play music stored on a USB Drive while playing a game.

5) Ability to play video stored on a USB Drive.

6) Customizable WaraWara Plaza (background music, environment, color scheme, etc).

7) Mii clothes.

Hardware changes:

1) Headphone jack on the Pro Controller.

2) Matte finish instead of glossy, fingerprint-magnet plastic (Thought you had learned your lesson with the 3DS).

 

This is not something you read and say "I'll think about it...". You must take action or this could probably be your last console. You got to the point where your fans are getting tired of your mistakes and start thinking ahead of you. Do something, NOW!
