Offer Pre-Funded Amiibo Pre-Orders from an official Nintendo website

Offer Pre-Funded Amiibo Pre-Orders from an official Nintendo website
The Issue
Problem:
Insufficient supply to meet Amiibo demand (Pre-orders are sold out within minutes or are unavailable)
Solution: See end of this petition
Many people have been unable to obtain the Amiibo they desire, whether it be their favorite characters, or just a welcome addition to their awesome collection. Due to a lack of understanding about the limited quantities of Amiibo being shipped, many people didn't know the urgency with which they should have obtained their favorites.
Even if they do understand the urgency, many were left out in the cold when they attempted to pre-order the Ness Amiibo from GameStop. We know several people who went to GameStop at 2pm during their lunch breaks, only to have to leave due to GameStop's computers failing. These people brought cash for this product and were literally unable to purchase it.
Currently, the situation is out of control. Many Amiibo are unavailable unless ordered from out of country. Pre-orders online begin and end in the same minute, or are unavailable in stores due to bogged down computer systems.

Proposed solution:
Nintendo should innovate in this space by creating a Kickstarter-esque pre-order form on an official Nintendo website. The purpose of this form would be to allow Nintendo to accurately determine the demand for these figures and most importantly to pre-pay for the production of them.
As it stands now, Nintendo is being forced to be conservative on the estimated production numbers for these figures. Allowing fans to pre-order these figures with a disclaimer such as "Product will not ship for six months" and "Product will not ship unless $[dollar value] is reached by [date]" will allow Nintendo to sell these figures without the risk of leaving money on the table by not meeting demand.
To prevent a loss of profits from having to return the money for non-funded Amiibo runs, Nintendo could also add a disclaimer that specifies that any money toward a figure that isn't produced/shipped will be converted to eShop dollars, thus keeping the money within Nintendo's ecosystem.
Summary:
In conclusion, we believe Nintendo is frustrating lifelong fans by limiting the market, and may end up doing more harm than good for themselves if they continue this trend. They are obviously popular enough that if they provide more, people will buy them.
