Remove Costume from Super Mario Odyssey or Cancel it

The Issue

On behalf of all Nintendo fans and gamers everywhere who are tired of seeing the company slowly turn into a virtue-signaling SJW clearinghouse, it’s time to stop, Nintendo of America.  You have been inserting memes and SJW crap into our games for the past decade or so, and we, your hardcore fans, are getting tired of your attempts to rope in casuals and replace the people who made you who you are.  Stop putting virtue-siganling, pandering filth into games from Japan.  Stop censoring their original art

Super Mario is one of the last of the old guard of video game characters that hasn’t been infected with third-wave feminist crap.  Putting him in a wedding dress is the sort of thing SJWs do to pander to each other, at the expense of real fans.  How many transgender video game players do you think there are?  And how many people do you think you’ll turn off when they discover Mario is cross-dressing?

The solution is simple.  Remove this offensive imagery and leave the original, true, and uncut Super Mario Odyssey.  We ask this as longtime Mario fans who don’t want to see Nintendo or the Switch fail.

Gamers need to know that, whatever the direction video games take in the future, the bedrock foundation of Mario will remain constant.  Already gamers are being mocked for objecting to this travesty, even from their family.  My friend was asked why it bothered him so much when it’s just an unlockable costume.  This… TRAP of a conversation left him without any societally acceptable way to respond without retaliation, so he joked about Hitler and changed the subject.  He won that argument, BTW.

Even family members are being converted to this ideology.  My mother and sister asked me why seeing a wedding dress in a video game affected me so much when, and I quote, “you’ll never have to see one up close in your life.”

But the tides are changing, and Gamergate, thought dead, still lives.  Gamers are on the rise and we will employ our memes to take back video games.  Already we’ve come up with #MarioOdyssuck, #MarioOdysSJW, #NotMyMario #ItsMarioandPeachnotMarioandStacyKeach, and many more that will change the face of the discourse against you.  Already frogs are being photoshopped to have Mario hats and there is nothing you can do.

Young male gamers are running out of heroes.  Putting Mario in a wedding dress erodes the very essences of maleness necessary for young men to aspire to, even for young transgenders to aspire to.  The meat of the matter is this: his clothing must firmly imply the genitalia of a man.  There is no need to go into the hairy details, but the thrust of the message must be the blood that engorges the veins of the art design.  There must be no question dangling in the air, tucked away in the mind of young impressionable gamers.  It is for this reason we must protest.

We tried the civil discourse method with you Nintendo.  We pleaded with you to keep the children’s bikinis in Xenoblade Chronicles X, we tried to warn you of encroaching SJW attitudes by your employees.  But you have rebuffed us.  You have labeled us a hate group and that will not stand.  If you do not remove Nintendo of America’s SJW meddling in Super Mario Odyssey, you will face the consequences of low sales and low market share, and vicious memes on your social media presence.  We will get our youtube “influencers” to make hour long videos preaching video Armageddon over costume options and old tweets.  We will have victory and it is inevitable.
